China's claim of South China Sea that passes nine dash line was disputed by Indonesian government as the Indonesian President "Jokowi" visited Natuna sea which was perceived as a strong signal for China not to play around with Indonesia.
"The visit of President and several Minister to Natuna Sea for a concealed meeting shows dignity of Indonesian government against Chinese government's claim", said the professor of international law Indonesian University Hikmahanto.
It's been several times for Indonesian Navy to deal with the Chinese fishermen that was caught stealing fishes at Natuna Sea. China insists that this region is still comprised with their traditional fishing ground.
"The concept of Indonesian ZEE is base on international law and UNCLOS. Even the nine dash line law and traditional fishing ground isn't recognize in international law and UNCLOS", explain Hikmanto.
The President had given a precise instruction for Ministry of Maritime and Fisheries Affairs and Ministry Of Human Resources to make sure that Indonesia presents in ZEE and Continental Shelf. The purpose is to incur fishermen and businessman to be more intense in exploiting the supreme nature of Indonesian maritime zone.
